Mike McBane, a health policy analyst with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, has written the book that every Canadian should read. McBane’s analysis takes us from the scandals of the Krever Commission to the outrageous abandonment of science based safety criteria in the adoption of genetically modified foods. Ill-Health Canada is hard-hitting and well-documented and should make us all sit up and take stock of how trade and profit priorities dominate our health and safety policy making.
