3. Urges member states to take the following measures:
(1) to ensure that complementary foods are not marketed for or used in ways that undermine exclusive and sustained breast-feeding.
3. (2) Urges Member States to take the following measures:
(1)(d) fostering appropriate complementary feeding practices from the age of about six months, emphasizing continued breast-feeding and frequent feeding with safe and adequate amounts of local foods;
2. Urges Member States:
(1) to protect and promote breast-feeding, as an essential component of their overall food and nutrition policies and programmes on behalf of women and children, so as to enable all women to breast-feed their infants exclusively during the first four to six months of life.
