Romanow Commission

 

INFACT Canada has made an official submission to the Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada (known as the Romanow Commission) and has requested an opportunity to make an oral presentation at the public hearings in Toronto on April 2nd. The focus of INFACT’s submission is the integration of health promotion and disease prevention into the “reorganized service delivery” from the perspective of infant and young child nutrition. Specifically, INFACT has looked at the mitigating impact of breastfeeding on such major killers as asthma, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
