How is it that Health Canada, responsible for the implementation of the International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk Substitutes, is the co-sponsor of a pediatric conference together with the manufacturers of infant formula? The Beyond 2000 Healthy Tomorrows for Children and Youth conference to be held in Ottawa in June lists Abbott Laboratories and Mead Johnson as co-sponsors together with Health Canada.
