INFACT Canada Launches Politicians for Breastfeeding Campaign

Plans for winning breastfeeding support coalitions with federal and provincial politicians moved forward at the recent INFACT Canada Annual General Meeting . The Politicians for Breastfeeding campaign is twofold -- education and implementation to move breastfeeding protection measures forward in Canada. Initially we will develop the following two topics:

• the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life.
• the cost to the health care system of not breastfeeding.

INFACT Canada is currently developing educational tools for programme participants to lobby their designated politicians.
