Deadly Adverts Blanket Mexico Streets
Although Nestle claims to comply with the International Code, information from many countries (including Canada!) consistently point to massive infringement.
From Xalapa, Mexico, our International Baby Food Action Network (IBFAN) partner reports that Nestle uses street advertising for its powdered milks, with it's bear logo and "Nestle Infant Foods". These mini billboards are attached to metal street signs and are seen repeatedly, tens of times, by people on their daily walks.
Mortality rates when infants are not breastfed are at least 6 times higher than for breastfed infants.
